Being an avid sneakerhead has some advantages. Especially when working on a project for early stage VC funded streetwear mobile marketplace Ox Street, where I serve as their Head of Creative Content & advisor, in addition to helping them in their fundraising activities within the start-up ecosystem. For Chinese New Year I decided to create a parody infomercial for a fictional “Fortune & Love” Air Jordan 1 drop, that played on the cultural tropes and cliches revolving around the traditional Chinese New Year fears many millennials face:
